Robert Pattinson Guitar Auction in support of 'The Midnight Mission'

One of kind - Robert Pattinson signed Fender Telecaster

Brand new Fender Telecaster signed by ultra hot Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen) from the Twilight movie series. Rob happened to be shopping for instruments at Norm's Rare Guitars and Norm (a great friend of The Midnight Mission), asked him if he'd sign a guitar that could be auctioned off to support the services of the charity. Rob was gracious enough to say yes and do it. This terrifically talented actor and singer/musician even consented to have his picture taken with the signed instrument. I didn't post it here, but have it available for authentication (believe it or not this humble actor is a bit camera shy when not at work). Get this now!! I have seen tons of signed pictures and posters, but not a Fender guitar. And as you real fans know, Robert is an excellent musician - he plays piano, guitar and sings! So it's a winner - a great and unique gift for you or someone you love and you help people who don't always feel loved.

Q: Where were you when you found out this morning?

A: I was in a green room at a morning show being pulled by arm to the stage to do my interview as they were saying the names Vera Farminga and Anna Kendrick and I got off the shortest 'yay' of all time. And then I ran to do my interview and the second they cut to the weather man I bounded back to the monitors to see screenplay, director, actor and picture.

Q: Was it nerve wracking that you were doing a morning show and maybe you may or may not get nominated?

A: I was just hoping that the film would get nominated. You don't get three acting nominations by accident no matter how talented your cast is. I was just hoping that Jason [Reitman] and the film would be recognized.

Q: You've been hearing for months all this was going to happen, but are you still stunned by the reaction to the film this morning?

A: Everybody keeps asking me what I think this means for the future and I'm trying to enjoy this now, this moment. It's really exciting and apparently the first thing I'm supposed to do is talk to a bunch of journalists. (Laughs.) I'm starting to feel as though journalists are my family because every time I get good news I talk to journalists first. I'll invite you all around for Thanksgiving.

When Bobby Long came to Chicago I was not able to go either

Has Sam Bradley been in Chicago yet?? I guess I missed him too :(

But when I knew that Marcus Foster was coming I made sure I got my tickets ready :D

I was lucky enough to go see Marcus Foster here in Chicago, I took my brother and his girlfriend with me :D I use to go to the Abbey Pub all the time when I lived in the city (now leave in the suburbs of Chicago)so I was really excited to go see the show.

We were there early and we had a few pints of Guinness :D Abbey Pub has good Guinness :D

There were 2 bands before Marcus Foster.

The first one was Karlye Lapetina, the band was good but it just sounded like many bands you will find at any Pub :( I think they still need to find their own style.

The Second band was BLUE ROSES ...ok now you guys have to remember this name they were very good the singer is AWESOME we were really surprised my brother and I really liked them, we got her CD and my brother got an Autograph :D

All this time Marcus was at the bar talking with people and grabbing his hair like a nervous tick...reminded me of somebody we know :D (on a small note Bobby Long grabs his hair a lot too...is it an English thing?? LOL)

That is when I got close to ask for a picture with him :D he said ..."ok just a quick one" LOL cute ..he is tall you guys and he was really sweet.

I got the CD with songs he recorded at one of his shows is really good :D I ask him to sign it for me and I give him a pen... he looked at my pen and instead he took out a marker from his pocket ...awww... he was prepared LOL plus he was right signing with a pen on a paper CD cover will not look that good right??

The show started and I just want to say that he is a lovely boy, he look nervous and just like he felt a bit awkward :D totally awesome musician and you feel like you just want to give him a big hug :D. He has a strong accent and well you know how much a love accents :D

He was funny and AWESOME and cute and AWESOME ... did I mention he was Awesome??
Marcus is really talented, he plays the piano too :D.

'Twilight' helps sun rise on Long's career

SINGER/SONGWRITER Will appear here as he tours to gain experience

Playing an endless run of open-mike nights in London paid off for British singer-songwriter Bobby Long.

There he became friends with another songwriter, Marcus Foster, and with then up-and-coming actor Robert Pattinson, who would go on to star in the "Twilight" films.

Long and Foster penned the song "Let Me Sign," which Pattinson sang on the "Twilight" soundtrack.

Suddenly, Long was thrust into the spotlight, thanks to the mad popularity of the movie. Overnight, he went from open-mike nights to an international tour.

The whole "Twilight" thing, he admits, was a bit "fast and weird."
"I was in the dark and had no idea how big the film was going to be," Long said from the road somewhere in Oklahoma. "I just tried to make use of the situation in the best possible way."

"Twilight" fans should understand from the start that Long rarely performs the moody "Let Me Sign," and it will not be included on his upcoming debut album.

"Robert did a great job with it," Long said. "But it's not really my style of song."

Long's style, reminiscent of late folk legend Nick Drake, is centered around his raw and organic folk-blues songs. A sturdy guitarist with a strong, raspy vocal style, Long has a grounded maturity that belies his 23 years.

He's been touring nonstop for six months and begun work on his album with help from Grammy-winning producer Liam Watson, who has worked with the White Stripes among others.
When the movie hit, nearly every label was interested in Long, but he's more interested in doing things his way and hasn't signed up with one yet.

"I wanted to tour, to build a fan base and gain more experience," Long said. "So that when I started to record, I would be in a good position."

Long recently received his degree from London Metropolitan University after writing a thesis he describes "as a look at the social impact of folk music and the protest song in the '60s."

"I love that era and the music of Pete Seeger, Joan Baez and Bob Dylan," Long said. "And reading about the era opened my eyes to an appreciation of American history."

Pierce Brosnan says Robert Pattinson is 'fantastic' actor

'Twilight' star gets thumbs-up from 'Remember Me' co-star

Irish star Pierce Brosnan has given "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson an enthusiastic thumbs-up.

Brosnan, who co-stars with Pattinson in the upcoming drama "Remember Me" says Pattinson is a fantastic actor.

"I think when you see Remember Me, you'll see Robert giving a fantastic performance," said Brosnan.

"He's really working hard to work on his performance and acting and who he is."

Brosnan plays Pattinson's father "Remember Me, which is out in theaters in March 2010.

Pattinson plays a young man whose brother's suicide has split up his parents and left him sleepwalking through life.

However, as is the way in Hollywood, boy meets girl (Emile de Ravin) and the new relationship comes under some strain as they try to cope with their respective family tragedies.

Reviews so far have been lukewarm but reviews will probably not stop Pattinson's legion of fans from making the film number one the weekend it comes out.

Several scenes for "Remember Me" were shot in Manhattan last summer and police had to increase security for the young British actor as frenzied fans chased him around the set.

Celebrities have loyal fans. But when fans around the world stand up for only one person, it must mean something. Robert Pattinson, who is probably the most-hounded celebrity today, have extremely loyal fans. After several invasive pictures of Rob came out, the fans are now standing up for RPattz with a campaign to keep paparazzi from invading Rob’s private life.

From the thinkingofrob.com fan site, the fans said:

Due to recent paps pics of Rob that came out today and invasive ones taken before (chasing Rob while he’s driving, taking pictures of him from rooftops), the fans are standing up and fighting back. We want the paps to know that we don’t want to see pics like these, so stop taking them. Stop invading his private life. Enough is enough. Because no person deserves this, celebrity or not. There are limits and you have gone too far. We know pap pics are inevitable, what we are protest­ing against are the particularly invasive ones mentioned above. He doesn’t want this, neither do we!

Here’s our way of fighting back, in less than 48 hours we were able to get 1,000 pics of fans posing with their arms over their face to show their protest. This is our way of saying leave him alone. We’re hoping this message gets across to the paps. Fans from all over the world sent in pics and translated quotes.

We, as site owners, don’t want to post these pics either. A huge group of fans and sites came together for this post. Robert Pattinson fans fight back against paparazzi

Fans of Twilight superstar Robert Pattinson have mounted a giant online protest against paparazzi intrusion into his private life.

This comes after shots emerged of the star leaving the Hard Rock Café in Hollwood over the weekend, amid an absolute frenzy of paparazzi and reporters.

RPatz made a dash from the door shielding his face with his hands, and was quickly bundled into a waiting car by burly minders.

The smouldering star shot to worldwide fame, after the unprecedented success of the Twilight Saga.

But since then he has faced constant harassment from paparazzi watching his every move in an attempt to catch some sneaky off-duty shots.

Now loyal fans are fighting back in a bid to try and stop the star from being bothered during his down time.

In a joint effort from a number of fansites, more than 600 fans have posted picures of themselves with their hands covering their faces, imitating Rob's recent forced pose.
‘We want the paps to know that we don't want to see pics like these, so stop taking them,' a statement on one website said.

‘Stop invading his private life. Enough is enough. Because no person deserves this, celebrity or not.

‘There are limits and you have gone too far. He doesn't want this, neither do we!'

Mr Pattinson has just finished promoting the latest Twilight film New Moon, and has already started shooting the third instalment, Eclipse.

So with two - maybe three - films left to go, let's hope the campaign works.
